About Us

Anant Dwivedi Foundation was established in 2025 by Manoj Dwivedi and family in loving memory of their son, Anant Dwivedi. The foundation works towards preventing mental well-being caused by mental stress, depression, and anxiety, with a special focus on young individuals. The foundation is supported by trustees comprising family members, close relatives, and well-wishers of Anant Dwivedi. Its work focuses on improving mental health, promoting psychological well-being, and sensitizing society to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health challenges. Through mental health seminars, scholarship programs, skill development sessions, awareness campaigns, and community events, the foundation strives to reduce mental well-being and provide timely support. It also operates a mental well-being prevention helpline that connects individuals in distress with trained mental health counsellors before they take any drastic step.

From the Chairperson’s Desk

In July 2025, I lost my son Anant Dwivedi. The unexpected tragedy devastated our family. After prolonged sadness and despair, we decided that Anant’s memory should be kept alive as a positive force. Anant was a cheerful kid known for his kindness and generosity. True to his name, he had brought infinite happiness and cheerfulness to the people around him. We suppressed our grief and decided to dedicate ourselves to the social cause in his loving memory. We established Anant Dwivedi Foundation with a vision to promote mental well-being and spread happiness. Our foundation’s program focuses on the teenagers preparing to face the academic, personal and professional challenges in their life. Our scholarship programs for students financially supports struggling families in dealing with economic stress. Our mental well-being seminars prepares them to cope up with the demands of the competitive environment. Anant helpline number is at the service of people needing an empathetic listener to guide them without being affected by fear or stigma of the society. Anant day celebration every month brings a smile of joy on the face of homeless children. Our foundation is a movement against mental stress – big or small. Whether you are facing a temporary setback or a prolonged battle against depression, feel free to get in touch with us at Anant Dwivedi Foundation. Don’t choose a permanent solution to solve a temporary problem. We Indians always believed that Kaal chakra or the wheel of time will continue spinning no matter what. Times change and adverse circumstances and situations ultimately transform into positive things over a long period of time. ADF hopes to be the beacon of hope for the distressed so that my son Anant can be remembered till the Anant kaal (eternity).

Ceo’s message

Mental health crisis is a silent killer in our society today. Unlike physical ailments with clear tell-tale signs and symptoms, the stress pandemic spreads below the radar until it reflects in tragic form like depression, violence or suicide. India has the dubious distinction of having the highest number of suicides in the world. According to a National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report, 1.71 lakh people died by suicide in 2022 in India. The suicide rate increased to 12.4 per 1,00,000 -- the highest rate ever recorded in India. Timely treatment or counselling session is necessary to avoid such tragedies. Often, even low-cost interventions to mitigate stress can prevent suicides. Stress is a normal evolutionary response that ensures survival. When brain perceives danger, it activates systems designed to trigger fight or flight reaction by amplifying negative emotions like fear and heightening alertness. Under chronic stress, these systems remain active for extended periods, leading to elevated cortisol levels and disruptions in neural communication. Research has linked prolonged stress to impaired memory, weakened immune response, increased inflammation, and higher risk of mental health disorders. The brain does not differentiate clearly between physical danger and psychological pressure, responding to both with similar biological reactions. Due to this reason, a mental wellness program is as important as a gym session. Anant Dwivedi Foundation aims to work towards the cause of mental health. A depressed mind inside a fit body isn’t the right balance for well-being. Over the course of time, the physical and mental will converge rendering the individual prone to self-harm and violence. ADF strives for a society that values mind and body equally so that human life can realize its true potential.
